They have planted trees, including Beech, Hazel, Willow, Oak, Alder, Blackthorn and even an orchard to promote biodiversity. With the help of a local artist, volunteers and pupils from Arran primary schools, a beautiful living spiral has been constructed and you can rest on seating hand built with green wood. It is open to both residents and visitors. Access to the woodland is via the viewpoint car park at the top of the Brodick hill. Walk down the path towards Brodick until you see a twiggy signpost pointing the way. Alternatively, walk up from Brodick via the post office and the Glenartney Hotel towards Lamlash.
